Full Description

Cracknowl limestone quarry was worked for roadstone and is shown as in operation on the 1st ed. 25" OS map c. 1880. (1, 2) The quarry is still marked as in use at the start of the 20th century on the 3rd ed. 25" OS map of the area. (3) Disused quarry latterly used for tipping. (4)
