Full Description

A Neolithic highly polished stone celt of a gray green colour, wedge-shaped, 7 inches by 2½ inches showing old fractures at both ends. Found at Monyash in 1929 and in the possession of W.H. Salt. (1). The salt collection is held by Buxton Museum but this axe could not be identified. No further information. (2). The point on the map has been removed as the grid reference is only four figures long. (4).
