Full Description

A map of Wingerworth dated 1758 shows eight buildings, six on the south side of a road and two on the north side, all lying to the south of Wingerwotth Hall. (1) By 1835 the land around the Hall had been remodelled and the buildings had been removed. (2) Wingerworth is recorded in Domesday Book as being part of the King's land and as having 14 freemen. (3)
