Full Description

An aerial photograph of 1971 shows ridge and furrow in several adjacent fields to the north and east of Shirley Hall. (1) More recent aerial photographs suggest some of this may survive. (2) A desk-based survey and analysis of aerial photographs considered the extent of medieval ridge and furrow within Derbyshire Dales district. A single ridge and furrow field was identified directly north of Shirley Hall. (3)
