Full Description

The Shirley Tithe Map of 1838 shows a short stretch of road running approxiomately 150m to the west of the present road and immediately west of what is now Corner Farm. A couple of small buildings, possibly squatter settlement, are shown adjacent to it. The present road is also shown on the map and appears to cut through former fields, suggesting it represents a more recent layout. (1)
