Full Description

The building appears on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880 but is not named. (1) A two-storey former toll house with a slate roof at the junction of New Mills Road and the 1818 Sheffield-Glossop-Marple Bridge turnpike. It is triangular in section where it faces the road. (2)
