Full Description

There is a Primitive Methodist Chapel marked here on the 1st edition OS map. (1) The Primitive Methodists have a chapel in Little Hayfield, which was built in 1851 at a cost of about £200. (2) The Primitive Methodist movement reached Hayfield in the 1820s. Their first chapel was in Little Hayfield near Clough Mill (SMR 7505). It is now a house [1998]. (3) Little Hayfield Primitive Chapel was built in 1851 and deconsecrated in 1975. (4)
