Full Description

A metal plate on the wall opposite the Chesterfield Arms Public House, Burton Road, Swadlincote, was inscribed as follows: LONDON / 122 MILES / ASHBY / 6 MILES / BURTON / 3 MILES. A photograph shows the lettering in white, presumably raised, and contrasting with the darker metal background. (1) Examination of Google Street View shows this plaque to be missing. (2)
