Full Description

Aerial photographs taken in 1971 show several areas of earthwork ridge and furrow around Burntheath, Hilton. (1) Recent aerial coverage suggests that at least some of the ridge and furrow survives, possibly in good condition. (2) Medieval ridge and furrow earthworks were identified within much of the area around Burntheath during an aerial photographic mapping survey. The earthworks were mapped using aerial photographs dating from 1948 to 1999. (3)
