Full Description

Boat Lane (originally Stoneyford Lane) used to cross the Midland Railway line and the Cromford Canal and then turn sharply south to run along the eastern side of the canal for about 200m. At the furthest point were a number of buildings, at least some of which were known as Erewash Cottages. (1) Buildings are shown at this site on Sanderson's map of 1835. (2) They had been demolished by 1974. (3)
