Full Description

In January 1991 eight samples were taken from timbers (including an incomplete cruck truss) in what was at that time an outbuilding to the east of no. 35 Church Street, Eckington. Tree ring dating on these timbers provided a felling date range of 1486 to 1521, with a likely felling date of c. 1501. (1) The building has been demolished and a new building constructed on the site. Some photographs were taken of the building prior to its demolition. (2)
