Full Description

This mortuary chapel appears on the 1st edition OS map, and is named as an Episcopal Chapel. (1) The cemetery at Bakewell was consecrated in 1858. It contains two chapels - one for Churchmen and the other for Non-conformists. The grounds are tastefully laid out and planted with shrubs. (2) This chapel appears to be extant on modern OS maps [2010]. (3)
