Full Description
A school is shown on the south side of Sheffield Road, to the east of the Chesterfield Canal, on the 2nd ed. 25" OS map of 1898. (1)
A School Board was formed at Killmarsh in 1877 and a Board School was erected in 1879 for 160 boys, 160 girls and 200 infants. (2) The School was enlarged in 1904. (3)
