Full Description

A General Cemetery, under the management of a Burial Board, situated at the North End, was formed in 1854, and consecrated in 1856. It occupies about three acres of ground, and has two neat chapels, one for the Church and the other for the Dissenters. (1) There is a Dissenters' Chapel situated here on the 1st edition OS map. (2) The chapel is still standing, but is not labelled as being in use as a cemetery chapel [2011]. (3)
