Full Description

'Griff Bage Mines (Lead)' are marked on the 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880, indicating the mines were still active at that time. A number of 'Old Shafts' are depicted to the south and south-west. (1) By the time of the 2nd edition (1899) the mines are marked as 'Disused'. (2)
