Full Description
There is a chapel situated here on the 2nd edition OS map that was not present on the 1st edition. It appears to have superseded a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel situated on Chapel Street on the 1st edition OS map (see SMR 16628). (1-2)
The Wesleyans erected their first chapel in Alfreton in 1809 [see SMR 16228]. The present handsome edifice was built in 1885, at a cost of £850. (3)
The chapel appears to have since been demolished and the site redeveloped [2011]. (4-5)
