Full Description

There is a United Methodist Free Chapel situated here on the 1st edition OS map. (1) The United Methodist Free Church in Alfreton is a commodious structure, which was erected in 1865, at a cost of £650, to seat 350. (2) By the 3rd edition OS map, the building has either been extended, or replaced with a larger building, and is called a United Methodist Church. (3) The current building at the site is now used by the Jehovah's Witnesses [2011]. It has a rendered finish, and it is uncertain whether any material from the 1865 chapel remains. It may be the same building that appears on the 3rd edition OS map. (4-5)
