Full Description
'Stone' is marked on late 19th century maps at the entrance to a track along the south side of Hurst Brook. (1, 2)
There is a boundary stone, now [in 1977] fallen over, beside the gate into the Glossop and District Golf Course. It is inscribed 'GLOSSOP' and 'WHITFIELD'. (3)
