Full Description

The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel at Codnor that was built in 1827. (1) There is a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel situated here on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. (2) The Wesleyan Chapel was erected in 1827, and was considerably enlarged in 1875. It is comfortably furnished to seat 200. (3) It is still in use as a Methodist Chapel on the 4th edition 25" OS map of 1937-8. (4) The building has since been demolished and the site has been redeveloped [2011]. (5)
