Full Description
There are two adjoining mortuary chapels situated here on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. One is Non-Conformist and the other is Church of England. (1)
A cemetery, under the control of a burial board, was laid out at Heanor in 1858. There are two mortuary chapels, which are united in the centre by a tower and spire. (2)
The chapels are still extant [2011]. (3)
