Full Description

A chapel-of-ease dedicated to St John has been erected at Aldercar [1895]. (1) St John's Church dates to the 19th century and is in the Decorated style. It was built in 1871 as a chapel of ease by Stevens & Robinson for the parish of Langley Mill. The east window is by W Ramsey. The church was enlarged in 1928-9 by Naylor & Sale. (2)
