Full Description

There is a Baptist Chapel in Smalley that was erected in 1780. (1) There is a burial ground associated with a Baptist Chapel (see SMR 25702) situated here on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. (2) The General Baptist Chapel at Smalley was built in 1790. Monuments in the associated burial ground include those of late 18th and early 19th century date. (3) The burial ground is still extant and the associated Baptist Chapel is still in use as a place of worship [2011]. (4-5)
