Full Description

A former milestone was recorded as being in use as a gatepost at Rose Cottage, Fenny Bentley, in August/September 2005. It was 12½ inches wide, 6 inches deep and had a visible height (from a step) of 42 inches. Some of the lettering was visible or could be deduced: '(TO) / L(ONDON) / 14( ) MILES / TO / BUXTON / 18 / '. (1)
