Full Description

The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel at Stanley [1857]. [It is uncertain whether White & Co. are referring to this chapel, or SMR 26323]. (1) There is a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel situated here on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. It appears to have been rebuilt by the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c. 1900. (2-3) The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel at Stanley Common that was rebuilt in 1886. (4) The chapel has since been demolished and the site has been redeveloped [2011]. (5-6)
