Full Description

Milestone on the south-west side of the A515 Ashbourne to Buxton road. In June 2001 the inscription was considered to be indecipherable. (1) The 1st ed. 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880 reads 'Buxton 4, Ashbourne 16, London 154'. (2) Later maps only shown the Buxton and Ashbourne distances. (3, 4)
