Milestone standing on the Ashbourne-Oakerthorpe turnpike road, turnpiked in 1759. One side reads 'TO / ASHBOURNE / 7 / MILES', the other 'TO / ALFRETON / 12 / MILES / WIRKSWORTH / 2 / MILES'. (1) On the line of the Ashbourne-Bakewell turnpike. (2)
