Full Description

[SK 1947 6877 - SK 1963 6870] Hachures published, but not named on the 6" OS map of 1955. (1) [SK 196 688] Strip lynchets are visible on aerial photographs dating to 1948. (2) The published feature (a terrace) achieves a maximum height of 1.4 metres, elsewhere the system is slight and, in part, obliterated by modern farming. (3) Strip lynchets in the parish of Ashford, but they appear to relate to those in Bakewell Parish. The terracing achieves a maximum height of 1.4m, but has in places been obliterated by modern farming. (4)
