Full Description

Boundary post, Painter's Lane, Brailsford, an early 19th century structure. The photograph attached to the listed building card shows the boundary post painted white with black lettering. However, the photograph attached to the County Milestone Survey, taken in February 2002, and Google Streetview, suggest the boundary post is now no longer white, presumably being covered with dirt and rust. (1-2) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 24 SW PARISH OF BRAILSFORD DERBY ROAD 5/15 (South Side) Boundary post at OS 243 418 II Boundary post. Early C19. Cast iron.
