Monument record MDR12976 - Possible barrow, Bridge End Pasture, Hope Woodlands

Type and Period (1)

  • ? (Bronze Age - 2350 BC to 701 BC)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

This feature comprises the rim of a cairn which measures 8m x 6.5m. It has had its centre removed and there is a small heap here which is a later addition and may well be modern. The surrounding land was improved in the 1980s. The fact that this feature has been robbed makes it a more likely candidate for being a barrow (rather than a modern feature) than nearby mounds. (1)
