Full Description

In 1847, buildings on the site of the present Ackford House included a house, coalhouse and chamber, back kitchen and carthouse, with two sheds in the adjacent Pickford Yard. (1) The site was sold as a lot in 1866, when there was a farmhouse which included a cheese room. Adjacent buildings included a barn, cowhouse, stable and two piggeries. (2)
