Full Description

There is a Primitive Methodist Chapel situated here on the 2nd edition OS map of c. 1900 that is not present on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. It appears to supersede a smaller chapel to the south (see SMR 24115). (1-2) The Primitive Methodist Chapel at Overseal was rebuilt in 1895. (3) The chapel is still in use as a place of worship on the 4th edition 25" OS map of 1937-8. (4) The chapel has since been demolished and the site has been redeveloped [2011]. (5-6)
