Full Description

An area of post-medieval lime kilns and associated lime workings have been identified from aerial photographs mostly taken in 1948, although more recent in some cases. (1) The 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880 shows a number of 'Old Quarries' and 'Old Limekilns'. (2)
