Full Description

There is a Primitive Methodist Chapel situated in this approximate location on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. By the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c. 1900, the chapel has fallen out of use and appears to have been superseded by a large chapel to the west (see SMR 26926). (1-2) The Primitive Methodists have a chapel at Coppice Side that was rebuilt in 1886 [see SMR 26926]. (3) It is not known if the building is still extant [2011]. There is a building along Coppice Side that may be the former chapel; otherwise, it is likely to have been demolished. (4)
