Full Description

Beside the main gate to Crich churchyard is a tap of unusual design. There is a horizontal axis to the screw, which is controlled by a heavy weight that falls to close the tap. A local resident thought it dates from the inter-war years. (1) Looking at Google Maps Street View, the tap is still present standing up against the churchyard wall [2012]. (2)
