Full Description

On either side of Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, is a cast iron boundary post marking the boundary between the borough of Derby and the parish of Chaddesden. The markers are painted white with black lettering. On a flat panel at the top is a circular crest beneath which is inscribed 'BOUNDARY OF / THE BOROUGH / OF DERBY'. Below this the post is triangular with a sloping top on which is inscribed 'APRIL 1st 1934' and on the sides 'PARISH OF CHADDESDEN' and 'PARISH OF DERBY'. (1) Triangular cast iron parish boundary marker ‘Chaddesden/Derby’. (2)
