Full Description

A flint knife was found in c. 1997 by the nephew of the owner of High Needham Farm, while walking a ploughed and reseeded field. The knife is 98mm long and 24 mm wide, with one side flat, the other worked to create sharp edges and a hand grip. It was donated to Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, item EF 2673. The 6-figure grid reference provided [SK119650] falls on the drive to Cronkston Lodge, so it is uncertain as to exactly which field was walked. (1)
