Full Description

Recent archaeological surveys of woodland in north-east Derbyshire recorded a number of deposits of iron slag having the appearance of bloomery slag. Two of these are in Hardwick Wood, at SK 37706 65708 and SK 37725 65792, in a well-known iron-rich area. (1)
