Full Description

A well is shown at the south side of the junction between Riber Road and Carr Lane on the 1st ed. 25" Ordnanace Survey map of c. 1880. (1) Several stone steps lead down to the well, which is closed off by an iron gate. At ground level the top of the well appears to be covered by large stone slabs; however, the feature was largely obscured by vegetation. (2)
