Full Description

A footbridge at the start of a footpath off Charley Lane. It is known as The Elephant Bridge because of its shape. (1) The footpath appears on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. Presumably the bridge was in place by this time, though this is not certain. (2) The bridge is visible on Google Maps Street View [2012]. (3)
