Full Description

There is a building that appears here on the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c. 1900 that is named on the 3rd edition 25" OS map of the early 20th century as the Salvation Army Citadel. It does not appear on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. (1-3) It still appears to be a place of worship on modern OS mapping [2012]. A date plaque can be seen on the street-facing gable on Google Maps Street View, but the date is not legible from the photograph. (4-5)
