Full Description

According to Bulmer's Directory, "The United Methodist Free Church is a substantial stone edifice, erected in 1875 at a cost of £4,000". (1) This is a Listed Building built in 1875, with late 20th century alterations. It is constructed in regularly-coursed squared Coal Measures sandstone with ashlar dressings, coped gables and a Welsh slated roof. It is a two storey building over a basement which was used for the Sunday school. (2)
