Full Description
According to White's Directory, in 1852, John Smedley, Esq. erected a chapel in Higham for the Wesleyan Reformers; it was a neat stone building, seating about 200 hearers. (1)
There is a Methodist Chapel (Free) situated in Higham on the 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880, presumably that mentioned by White in 1857. (2)
Modern maps show this building to still be extant. (3)
