Full Description

According to White's Directory, the Wesleyan Methodists had a chapel in West Handley, erected of stone in 1796. (1) There is a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel situated in West Handley on the 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880, presumably that referred to by White in 1857. (2) Modern maps show this building is still extant but has been converted in to a residence. (3) Chapel converted into a residence now known as 'Greystoc House'. A stone wall on north-east elevation states 'erected in 1796, restored 1896'. Stone building on road. (4)
