Full Description
According to Kelly's Directory, a cemetery of 3.5 acres, opened in Staveley in 1884 and contained two mortuary chapels. It was under the supervision of the Rural District Council of Chesterfield. (1)
There is a Nonconformist Mortuary Chapel situated in Staveley Cemetery on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1900. (2)
Modern maps show this building is still extant but has been converted into the cemetery lodge. (3)
