Full Description

According to White's Directory, the Primitive Methodists had a chapel in Whittington, erected in 1849. (1) According to Kelly's Directory, there was a Primitive Methodist chapel at Old Whittington, built in 1865, with sittings for 250. (2) There is Methodist Chapel (Primitive) situated in Whittington on the 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880. (3) The 3rd edition 25" Ordnance Survey map shows this building was no longer in use as a chapel. (4) Modern maps show this building is no longer extant. (5)
