Full Description

Farey listed a Chevin Top Quarry in 1811. (1) There is a Chevin Quarry situated on Firestone Hill on the 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880, possibly that referred to by Farey in 1811. (2) Modern maps show Chevin Quarry as disused. (3)
