Full Description

A Quarry at Holme Moss was included in a report of a study into the potential to re-establish the roofing slate industry of the region. A very small quarry with some flaggy rock within Huddersfield White Rock. (1) Heyden Quarries, near Holme Moss, are shown as disused on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1900, this area is not covered by the 1st edition Ordnance Survey maps. (2)
