Full Description

A public house, built in the 18th or 19th century, shown on an early Victorian parish map. It forms part of a terrace with 6-12 Dale Road (qv). The public house is built of painted brick with sawtooth eaves, beneath a gabled slate roof. The front elevation is two storeys tall. There are two bow windows in square openings and (to the right) a projecting hipped porch. The building is unlikely to date to before c.1700 (the "brick threshold"). (1)
