Full Description
Bradshaw Fields Quarry was included in a report into the potential to re-establish the roofing slate industry of the South Pennine region. Very Shallow, small working - coarse flaggy sandstone but really nothing to be seen. Near the top of the upper leaf of the Kinderscout Grit. (1)
A Quarry is shown situated near Bradshaw Fields on the 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880. (2)
Modern maps show this quarry as disused. (3)
