Full Description
Post medieval lead workings and disused mine shafts are clearly visible as earthworks in Bing Maps aerial photographs. Strip lynchets are also visible as earthworks in this area. (1)
Old lead shafts appear in this area on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. They are still present on modern OS mapping. (2-3)
Evidence of mining earthworks visible with LiDAR (4).
